Sales Operations Manager 

 

About the Role 

The primary purpose of the role is to support the growth of JTI USA's business through the management of the company's Inside Sales Team as well as manage the development and implementation of technology systems utilized by the sales organization. The role will work to achieve all established sales and merchandising objectives within the assignment and provide sales related system(s) oversight aimed at effectiveness and efficiency in supporting business objectives and needs. The position provides leadership and counsel by training and developing direct reports as well as effectively evaluating their performance.
 

What you will do

  • Support the Commercial Strategy and Sales Operations by serving as a key stakeholder in a cross functional effort to create both strategic and tactical plans (drive period/sales cycle) that will positively impact JTIs share and volume position nationally
  • Provide leadership through training, development and performance evaluations of direct reports to increase productivity, effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure the inside sales representatives/team attain objectives regarding product sale, distribution, visibility, and compliance while respecting retail arrangements and promotional budget allocations
  • Provide oversight and coordination of sales systems by introducing new tools, deploying upgrades based on new functionality or new business requirements and working cross functional with global and local IT departments
  • Work with the procurement team to identify and negotiate with appropriate sales and technology service providers which will support commercial business needs and strategies. Appropriate budget tracking and vendor performance evaluations will also be measured
  • To perform any other tasks given by the direct manager.

 

Who We Are Looking For

well-organized, passionate, and detailed-oriented person, with:
 

  • BA degree is preferred.  Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct sales related managerial experience.  Industry knowledge and FMCG organizational experience are preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office (MS Excel & MS Word experience is required). ERP (SAP) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Project management implementation and administration
  • Detail-oriented but able to see the big picture. Organized & self-motivated.
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and clear understanding of priorities and strategic importance.
