Territory Development Leader (Pangasinan)
 

Job Purpose:
Drive sustainable growth of JTI brands in your assigned territory by leading a team and implementing strategies to expand consumer reach and achieve sales targets. You will manage a squad of Territory Representatives, Assistant Territory Representatives, and Sales Drivers (in some squads), and collaborate with various departments including Finance, People & Culture, and Field Marketing to ensure excellent execution and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Development

  • Motivate and guide the team by creating individual development plans.

  • Conduct regular field coaching and 1-on-1 sessions to improve sales capabilities.

  • Provide direction aligned with company goals and train the team on digital tools and reports.

  • Set targets, give regular feedback, and create potential career paths.

  • Evaluate performance and execution; recruit new talent as needed.

2. Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Meet sales, coverage, and distribution KPIs for the territory.

  • Develop sales plans in collaboration with Area Sales and Field Marketing teams.

  • Promote a consumer-centric mindset using JTI tools and insights.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities.

  • Ensure pricing in retail/wholesale is aligned with company policies.

  • Roll out trade and consumer programs.

3. Compliance & Control

  • Monitor credit performance, account receivables, and customer master data.

  • Conduct trade audits and ensure trade returns follow policy.

  • Promote ethical practices by enforcing the company’s Code of Conduct.

  • Handle disciplinary actions fairly and in line with company policies.

4. Customer Management (Retail & Wholesale)

  • Build strong relationships with key retailers and wholesalers.

  • Identify growth opportunities and develop action plans.

  • Monitor account performance and ensure store visits are aligned with needs.

  • Negotiate terms to maximize business profitability.

  • Provide timely updates and handle concerns or issues.

5. Administrative & Reporting

  • Prepare reports and track team activities.

  • Conduct team meetings and share best practices.

  • Manage budgets, POS materials, and company assets.

6. Sales Information Management

  • Maintain accurate trade and sales data.

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with company systems.

  • Provide timely feedback and reporting to HQ.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 2 years of experience in field sales, distribution, or trade marketing.

  • Fluent in Tagalog (local dialect is a plus), Intermediate English.

  • Must hold a valid professional driver’s license (minimum RC 2).

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong people leadership and coaching skills.

  • Deep understanding of local sales and distribution.

  • Business acumen and ability to recommend improvements.

  • Entrepreneurial, accountable, and flexible.

  • Proficient in MS Office; familiar with digital sales tools.

  • Analytical and critical thinking.

  • Strong communication and idea-sharing skills.

  • Strong understanding of compliance in Sales Operations.
