We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our passionate team of 53 colleagues in Sales. As the Sales Area Manager for South West Greece, you will lead the local sales team to achieve the company's trade objectives and implement the commercial strategy effectively. This leadership role requires managing and developing a regional field force while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role also involves managing trade relationships, implementing plans and programs, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring KPI achievement.

 

  • Develop and execute the Area Sales strategy, achieving KPIs such as sales volume, target outlet coverage, SKU offtake, numeric and weighted distribution, call efficiency, and excellent merchandising.

 

  • Ensure product availability, distribution, and visibility through the Route to Market (RTM) strategy, utilizing resources effectively.

 

  • Guide and manage the sales team to execute planned trade activations efficiently.

 

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the team by providing constructive feedback, career development opportunities, and ensuring succession plans are in place.

 

  • Monitor market trends, competition activity, and consumer behavior to propose proactive actions that enhance JTI’s competitive edge.

 

  • Identify business opportunities and threats within the territory, developing plans and providing recommendations for acquiring new clients, customers, and consumers.

 

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key accounts, addressing needs, and proposing ideas for growth.

 

  • Define territory structures, route plans, and headcount requirements to align with distribution objectives and RTM strategy.

 

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU WILL

 

  • Develop a deep understanding of JTI's sales processes and strategies.

 

  • Establish yourself as a leader in the sales team.

 

  • Begin implementing strategic improvements and mentoring team members to achieve excellence.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

 

  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales, Operations, or Trade Marketing, preferably within the FMCG sector.

 

  • Proven leadership skills with direct reports, and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in a complex business environment.

 

  • Fluent in oral and written English and advanced computer literacy, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

 

  • Strong analytical skills with a creative and effective approach to problem-solving.

 

  • Excellent time management and task prioritization abilities.
