WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE

 

In line with agreed Corporate Security Policy, act as Security Supervisor for JTI PHL market with delegated responsibility from market Corporate Security Manager, working in close collaboration with JTI PHL market management team, to provide a risk-based security service to protect JTI personnel, assets, products, information and operational activities against injury, reputational damage and damage or loss. This is to be achieved in accordance with the Corporate Security ARCI Model, in a strict focus on the Business Enablement philosophy embraced in the JTI Corporate Security Policy.

 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES

ARCI - Vertical Responsibilities

 

  • STRATEGY
    • RESPONSIBLE to market Corporate Security Manager for understanding local strategy and assisting in its implementation
  • PERFORMANCE
    • CONSULTED by market Corporate Security Manager on the performance of the CS function, in line with Regional CS guidelines and directives
  • DELIVERY
    • RESPONSIBLE to the market Corporate Security Manager for the timely and effective delivery of CS services and initiatives, in line with local and Regional CS guidelines and directives
  • SUPPORT FOR CORPORATE SECURITY

    • CONSULTED by the market Corporate Security Manager on the design, functionality, roll-out and implementation of CS support projects

 

 

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Provide timely advice to the market CS Manager based on analysis/assessment of security risk / threat and impact to enable well informed business decisions to protect the market and associated supply chain and reduce risks to the storage, transport, delivery and sale of finished goods within the market.
  • Assist the market CS Manager to develop and execute security plans and business-aligned security measures and procedures to meet market business objectives ensuring compliance with JTI and Corporate Security standards.
  • Carry out IM and non IM security audits and self-certifications as required by the Regional Corporate Security Director.
  • Assist the market CS Manager to implement necessary security counter-measures, based on existing Corporate Security policy and physical security guidelines and industry best practices and J-SOX annual audit recommendations. 
  • Assist the market CS Manager to manage all aspects of personnel, asset and supply chain security within the market including, but not limited to: traveller security, event security, security support to IA/STA, Executive Protection, depot and warehouse security, transportation security, incident management and investigations.
  • As directed by the market CS Manager, participate in the preparation and maintenance of the Country Crisis Management Plan Crisis Management Team training. Assist in crisis response efforts as the alternate Security Adviser to the Crisis Management Team.
  • Plan and conduct security investigations and reviews of security breaches as directed by the market CS Manager, or as requested by General Manager or local Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain effective trusted network relations with LEA, appropriate authorities and security and emergency services and professionals from other companies.
  • Assist the market CS Manager to manage all third party security suppliers, monitor the effectiveness of contracted services and review service scopes and SLAs.
  • Assist the market CS Manager with the protection of executives (including expatriates who have additional exposures), employees, customers, stakeholders & visitors.
  • Utilising SIMP, carry out, continually review and maintain currency of risk assessments to employees, assets and the business, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Plan and implement a security awareness/training programme within the market.

 

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good pass at Secondary School (minimum). Tertiary Certificate or Diploma preferred.

  • At least 5 years’ experience with a major military, law enforcement, or intelligence organisation, or private sector corporate security organisation.

  • At least two years’ experience in oversight of or leading a guard force or similar team.

  • Strong knowledge of physical security, access control and CCTV systems.

  • Good investigation and interview skills. Prepare, conduct and report interviews.

  • Able to establish the initial facts of security incidents, record and escalate them accurately to local EXCOM and Corporate Security. Understand the implications of the facts as reported and is able to formulate a comprehensive report with appropriate findings and recommendations and action plan to senior management.

  • Knowledge of security issues of Information and Cyber Security and ability to manage security records in accordance with Records Management Policy.

  • Good negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Fluency in English and the local language (if different) is essential.

  • Sound MS Office skills
