Cluster Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Purpose of the role
This role is responsible for financial analysis of business operations to measure and forecast future business performance across Mexico + Cluster with emphasize on our JV Markets in Argentina and Peru.
This includes analysis of internal processes (Financial Statements, Working capital, Costs, Prices, Expenses, Revenues, Returns of Investment, etc.), proposals on strategic direction and guaranteeing the execution of the initiatives of finance in the cluster markets.
Core Responsibilities
- Proven track record in finance and finance management with clear evidence of achieving results through others (leadership). Excellent understanding of finance audit reporting, budgeting, GAAP, tax and treasury. Excellent FMCG understanding with a proven ability to combine strategic and operational thinking, which supports the overall business objectives.
- As finance Manager for P&A develop specific financials and act as a consultant to colleagues on operational strategies and programs to support the achievement of the company’s financial KPI’s/targets in line with approved annual and strategic plans.
- Lead the development, preparation and delivery of JTI Mexico+ Cluster AP/SP submission. Ensure the preparation and interpretation of the monthly financial statements and management control reports of the Company and oversight and guidance on all required financial reporting for Mexico+ to the local Management, the Americas Region and JTI HQ as requested on a timely and efficient manner. Single responsibilty for the Financial Planning and Analysis of the JV Business Model.
- Advise senior management on the financial viability of proposed business investments and in addition, challenge and analyze from a financial viewpoint the operating practices of the Company with the ability to identify and define potential profit improvement opportunities. Continually review, challenge, and improve the Company’s reporting systems to ensure senior management is provided with the requisite tools and information necessary for effective decision-making.

Monitor the financial performance of the Company against its objectives and ensure that management is kept apprised of the Clusters performance for Mexico, Distributor Markets, Bolivia and the JVs. In line with this accountability, provide management with meaningful analysis and commentary recommending alternative or corrective actions when necessary to meet financial objectives being at the same time the main contact in the financial area with the JV partners.

Ensure the adherence to and administration of the Company’s internal control systems and relevant policies and procedures in line with global JTI standards and guidelines. Cooperate with the company’s internal and external auditors to assist in the timely and economic completion of their audit.

Managing and supervising employees. This includes overseeing the employee life cycle, induction, training and development a high performance team.

To perform any other tasks as given by the Finance Director and General Manager.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. MBA is preferred. CPA, CA, or internationally recognized certification in accounting is also preferred.
- Minimum 4 years finance or accounting experience in multi-national FMCG organization.
- Fluency in English is essential, other languages (specially Spanish to be developed in the job) a plus.
- Excellent PC skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). SAP-knowledge is a plus.
