ServiceNow Lead Developer

What this position is about - Purpose: 

 

The ServiceNow Lead Developer will be responsible for delivery and support of ServiceNow applications in IT functional domains, including administration, integrations, authorization configuration, unit testing and development activities. The incumbent will also be responsible for configuration ServiceNow applications and changes carried out by ServiceNow and any third party support partners. He will also work in close collaboration with ServiceNow Program Architect on technical design and with Process Owner teams on analysis of business requirements and functional specs.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

 

  • Support the business requirements gathering from the end-users or other IT teams and propose optimal technical solutions to fulfill user's requests or fix problems in the assigned area  
  • Support technical design, development and unit testing, and production deployment. Ensure that the solution is aligned with the agreed business process design, functional design and with ServiceNow best practices and JTI architecture standards , ensure consistency and standardization of the ServiceNow applications in the assigned area  
  • Ensure that required system documentation is completed and delivered before Go-Live.
  • Actively contribute to Knowledge Base creation  
  • Manage a small team of internal/external developers and maximize the team’s performance
  • Distribute workload among teams to maximize performance  and coordinate efficient internal and external resources utilization
  • Proactively analyze technology trends and JTI business demand to identify potential business opportunities and consult end-users on ServiceNow platform capabilities  
  • Continuously review own and team’s performance, in accordance with JTI KPI’s and SLAs, and take necessary actions to improve as needed. 
  • Communicate timely on the project progress related to developments in assigned area; manage the processes of requests, approval, specifications, development, documentation and unit testing; coordinate between on-site and off-site team related to processes in assigned area; coordinates IT-related issue with global IT and other teams.

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements: 

 

  • 3+ years of Team leader experience
  • You have a University Degree, preferably in IT   
  • 3-5 years of experience as a member of ServiceNow implementations, including business requirements gathering, development, testing, and cutovers 
  • Strong experience in ITSM area is required 
  • Good scripting and documentation skills are required
  • Strong experience in Service Catalog area, Workflow designer, Flow designer and Integration Hub  
  • Experience in GRC, IRM, SecOps is a big plus.
  • Good understanding of the key IT processes, knowledge of ITIL or similar framework, development experience in Agile projects  
  • Experience with ServiceNow platform architecture will be a plus  
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to deliver on time and follow-up promptly on any issues and/or risks identified  
  • Fluent in English
