Location: JTI Malvar, Batangas
Reporting to: Department Manager
The Workshop Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks to support maintenance, repair, and new projects within the workshop. This role ensures that all welding activities comply with safety standards, quality specifications, and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, on different materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.).

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Prepare and assemble materials and components for welding.

Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure compliance with specifications.

Maintain welding equipment in good working condition and report any issues.

Comply with all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety rules.

Support the workshop team with general fabrication and maintenance tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or technical vocational certification in welding or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in a similar welding position.

Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Strong understanding of safety standards in welding operations.

Attention to detail and quality-focused approach.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
