WHAT IS THIS POSITION ABOUT? 

The Automation Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of JTI Automation Systems in consideration of the newest technologies available for PLC, SCADA, MES, and BMS Systems. He/she is also involved in the planning and implementation of projects in the Philippine Factory related to automation.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automatic Control and Robotics) or any related Automation or IT-related course                                                                                                                                                    
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position 
• Fluency in the English language both written and spoken
• Knowledgeable of PLC, SCADA, and automation
• Good project management skills and structure when working on projects; problem-solving skills for technical problems

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

• Optimizes automation systems: Siemens, Beckhoff, KNX, CAN bus controllers, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc, for currently installed production machinery, software modification/debugging, and preventive and corrective actions in relation to the current assignment.
• Responsible for the technical aspects of the projects: automation and improvement, technological supervision over new production launches,  parameter control, and adjustment. Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. 
• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects. Formulating project parameters and developing specifications regarding Global standards for the required project scope.Creating frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection. Prepares spreadsheet reports and project look-ahead for monitoring project status and performance.
• Provides electricians with technical support and advice within the realm of programming and any other technical issues. Support for all related technical projects (Engineering and production), material tests and material qualification, new products, and first productions (R&D). Ensure the newest and best technology for all electronic machine components, incl. all supplier contacts.
• Cooperates with Global Engineering, Primary and M&P, and IT within the area of manufacturing process optimization. Administers SCADA, MOM, and BMS servers. 
• Perform any other tasks given by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labor law, corporate guidance, internal regulations, and work performance instructions.
