Position Purpose

The incumbent is reponsible to manage and establish EHS activities during construction period of the factory expansion which will be in operation by December 2020.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and execution of EHS requirements for Signal project and new leaf warehouse project
    - Ensure legal requirements of Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (OSH) are complied.
    - Enforcement of JTI EHS standards at factory and project sites
    - Responsible in implementing, coordinating and monitoring the worksite health and safety plan for all sub-contractors
    - To follow up action for any safety breaches that occur
    - Conduct regular Tool Box Meeting and Site inspections/audits
    - Ensure timely reporting and documentation of incident/ accidents (if any)
    - Prepare and implement the necessary risk assessment and other safety documents required for the site works
    - Carry out all necessary safety permit applications and conduct safety training for all site workers with regards to all health and safety measures to be adopted while working at site
    - Carry out site EHS meetings with project team and sub-contractors
    - waste disposal management support
    - air/water pollution management support
    - energy saving /monitoring support
  • Emergency evacuation plan and dills
    - Planning and organization of emergency evacuation plan and drills

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or other Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Environmental, Health and Safety discipline. Experience working in a multinational company and construction site as EHS Supervisor will be an advantage

 

Language and Competencies

Fluent in English (oral and written). Must be conversant with MS Office applications. Knowledge in MS Access or other database management (e.g SAP) is an added advantage.
