WHAT IS THIS POSITION ABOUT?
The purpose of this position is to process LOA applications and other PEZA-related transactions. In addition, the position will require close coordination with all other departments to ensure on-time application, liquidation, and submission of required reports to PEZA in order to have a seamless operation, ensure compliance, and avoid violation/penalty.
Simultaneously, all payments made to PEZA must be recorded in the M&D file report and official invoices must be filed correctly for audit purposes
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Capable of liaising with PEZA, BOC, C&E Team, Tax Team, Brokers & JTI internal customers, collecting necessary requirements for LOA applications, monitoring approval, informing respective parties in the event of a delay, and providing all required support.
- Close coordination with C&E, the Tax team, and Finance to ensure timely submission of all liquidations and reports to PEZA.
- Serve as the primary contact between the organization and PEZA.
- Keeping abreast of changes to PEZA and Customs rules and regulations, that may have an impact on factory operations.
- Managing and establishing procedures with PEZA LIMA/Head Office to expedite processes and ensure compliance through close coordination and regular process alignment.
- Ensure appropriate documentation, timeliness, and information dissemination to all stakeholders.
- Maintain required reports, such as LOA Monitoring, Liquidation, PEZA Ledger, M&D Finance Report, and Key Performance Indicators, to ensure that all transactions are correctly monitored and that data is available for management review when required.
- Responsible for receiving, documenting, and verifying all invoices and receipts for the PEZA.
- Timely processing or reimbursement in accord with actual expenditures to align with Finance Conversion cost monthly updates.
- Supports Logistics Team on reviewing existing process and share ideas on possible improvement.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Customs Administration or any related courses.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience working in an Import/Export/Forwarding environment with dealings in PEZA.
- Computer skills (MS Windows & MS Office, preferably intermediate MS PowerPoint / Excel skills)
- English, both written and spoken
