Siebel Development Manager

 

Position purpose:

 

Siebel Development Manager is responsible to manage the development part of the evolutive maintenance of Siebel system. Siebel is the Backend and field force execution tool in TME Program, it has been working for 15+ years being the core system for the Trade Marketing planning and activities execution.

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Support the current Siebel Backend and Siebel Execution client by provide timely technical support during the incident management process by: validate incident categorization, participate in triage meetings, validate and support priority, lead the diagnosis and analysis of Siebel configuration/customization, manage escalation process when required. Ensure a close collaboration with the different teams involved in the support (TME BTS, GTC, GSD, Offshore Dev Team).
  • Troubleshooting problems in order to identify and resolve malfunctions. Manage the Service Request process with Oracle to report product bugs and request workarounds and bug fixes. Plan, design and managed with offshore dev team the bug fixes development and their deployment. Hands-on development support to offshore dev team.
  • Support TME BTS in the definition of the new features/user stories.
  • Assess on the Siebel out-of-the-box capabilities to support the requirements.
  • Validate functional specs are ready to be translated to detailed technical specs by the incumbent or offshore development team.
  • Build or support the definition of the technical designs. The technical design must follow Siebel best practices reducing to the minimum the technical debt created and flow architectural constraints defined by the system and architects.
  • Monitor and support Unit, Integration and Performance testing planning, execution and reporting.
  • Hands-on coding/development for proof of concepts of complex features with the final objective to be delivered to offshore dev team for industrialization.
  • Validate the different Siebel development follows the JTI Siebel best practices for versioning and deployment.
  • Support the TME Release Manager in the definition of the release cycle and milestones for the Siebel systems.
  • Follow the release cycle planning, ensuring deliverables are provided on time and with the right quality.
  • Assist the TME Release Manager on the coordination among the different teams (BTS, GTC, Markets, GSM), including bug fixing delivery status updates.
  • Validate and support cut-over activities and post-release tasks in Siebel.
  • Close collaboration with Technical Architecture and GTC to monitor and troubleshoot the Siebel Remote distribution.
  • Stay up to date on with the current technology trends in the area of CRM and Siebel
  • Review, Analyze and Evaluate the latest Siebel versions in terms of capabilities and DevOps practices.
  • Propose enhancements in current solution to increase automation and decreasing lead time to deliver.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise through learning, conferences, customer focus groups, etc.
  • Promote DevOps technical practices for the development life cycle.


Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • University, college degree or Education in the computer science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of IT experience including the multinational companies
  • 7+ years of experience in CRM Projects
  • 5+ years of experience in configuration & development of a CRM suite (Siebel, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, SAP CRM, etc):
      • UI layer configuration
      • Business Layer (Business Components modelling)
      • Business rules and validation (configuration & development)
      • Integration from/to CRM to other systems.
  • Experience in Multi-organization and Multi-language implementations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (including ability to present ideas in user-friendly and technical language)
  • Experience working in a multinational environment with remote teams
  • Excellent analytical thinking and Problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail in analysis and design.
  • Knowledge and experience in software life cycle process from business requirements gathering to design and coding, code verification, testing, implementation and upgrade.
  • Exposure to cloud computing and agile methodologies.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in Siebel will be a plus:
    • Web Templates, Open UI, Applets, Controls.
    • User Properties, configuration options at Applet/BC/table level, Applets/BC events and Scripting, Business Services coding (eScript), Workflows
    • EAI, EIM, Web Services, Integration Objects
