Sales Manager - North Provinces

What this position is about: 

 

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join the ambitious & passionate JTI Angola Sales Team. This Manager will coordinate and supervise the Northern Provinces but will be based in Luanda.

Responsible for directing all business activities of the indicated Region and identifying and developing team. 
Additionally the Sales Manager will implement the business sales strategies and programs to achieve sales volume, distribution and expansion objectives in line with the mission of growing the business profitability.

Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve monthly/annual sales targets by implementing sales/marketing programs. Effectively managing and coaching the regional sales team;
  • Work closely with key Account management to identify profitable opportunities. Develop "Top to Top" relationships with Key volume accounts;
  • Lead the provinces sales team by providing performance measures and feedback through the company performance management system. Keep management updated on critical issues, program evaluation, competitive activities, and market conditions to maximize opportunities and best practices;
  • Establish and continuously maintain effective lines of communication with sales personnel to collect and update competitors' activity and market information. Recruit, motivate, and guide the team's professional development, reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent;
  • Work closely with and support the Sales Director in achieving the company's sales development objectives expanding into new regions to meet business development opportunities, including expansion in existing markets. 

 

Who we are looking for – Requirements:

  • University Degree;
  • Fluent in Portuguese, English will be an advantage;
  • 8-10 years of sales experience in multi-national FMCG organizations, tobacco experience preferred;
  • Excellent MS Office experience required with proven proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc;
  • Differential to have experience working with Provinces in Angola;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills;
  • Ability to manage teams and work independently without supervision;
