Job title: Logistics Supervisor

Logistics Supervisor - Luanda/Angola

 

What this position is about: 

 

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the finished goods warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role ensures inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards while supporting the overall logistics strategy of the organization.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of finished goods to meet customer delivery schedules. Ensure warehouse operations are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies. Monitor and optimize warehouse space utilization and layout;
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and conduct regular cycle counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed. Work closely with the Logistics Manager to monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability;
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to ensure seamless integration of warehouse and operational processes. Communicate effectively with transport providers to manage dispatch schedules and delivery timelines. Provide regular updates on warehouse performance and challenges to the Logistics Manager;
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and training for staff, promoting a safe working environment. Enforce proper handling and storage procedures to prevent damage to finished goods;
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend strategies to optimize warehouse operations. Support the Logistics Manager in implementing new technologies and best practices.

 

Who we are looking for – Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Fluent in Portuguese and advanced level of English;
  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role;
  • Experience in managing finished goods warehouses is preferred;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
