Position Purpose

Our organization is presently seeking a Regional Sales Trainer (RST) to support all aspects of training, coaching and talent development of Sales Representatives for the Western Region. The states included in this region are:  Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.  The RST will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and District Sales Managers to develop training plans to achieve the Company’s talent development, sales volume, distribution, and expansion objectives in line with the mission of profitably growing the business.





  • Participate in the development of, and implementation of coaching & training plans that support region and corporate objectives to include existing employee skill set development,  new employee training, and succession planning
  • Support District Sales Managers with in-field training and development of Sales Representatives within the West Region
  • Help identify individual Sales Representative development opportunities, provide feedback and recommendations to District Sales Managers and provide support towards closing identified developmental gaps
  • Identify district / region wide development opportunities, provide recommendations to District Sales Managers and Regional Sales Manager, and provide support towards closing identified developmental gaps
  • Conduct in-person group training sessions with Sales Representatives on identified training opportunities
  • Support with planning and execution of National Training Programs


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 3-5 years sales or sales training experience in multi-national FMCG organization.  Tobacco experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be willing to travel 70% throughout Region, conducting field training
  • Must be open to traveling and working in other Sales Regions as necessary
  • Must be willing to travel to New Jersey for Sales Representative onboarding experience several times a year
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office experience required with proven proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
