Global Risk Assessments Manager

 

The role exists to assist the Corporate Security Leadership Team (CS LT) in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Corporate Security function by analysing, evaluating, and interpreting various sources of information; leading to the production of regular risk assessments and analytical documents that support effective decisions by the VP Corporate Security and senior business leaders.  

The incumbent may be called upon to provide other security services globally as directed by the Global Policy, Assessments & Resources Director.

 

What will you do?

 

1) Security Risk Management

  • Support the maintenance of a regional predictive analytical process to assess security threats by monitoring external geo-political, social, criminal, and terrorism events, business operation disruptions, and man-made and natural disasters.

2) Information Management

  • Record and structure collected information and produce analytical reports to support sound decision making by Corporate Security and the business.

3) Assessment Management 

  • Utilize various security databases, open-source options, and security providers and consultants to support production of analytical documents and assessments for use by the VPCS and the business. 

4) Ad-Hoc

  • Provide support, as required, to other Corporate Security programs, projects, and initiatives. 

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • University degree 
  • Demonstrated experience in working in risk management and producing coherent and relevant risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience in open source assessment research / investigation; and using, managing, and administering research databases and tools. Particular attention will be paid to former government or military experience/training in collection and assessment of information. 
  • Fluent English (verbal and written), with solid computer skills and IT awareness; experience in the deployment and use of relevant software solutions and tools.
  • Must have the ability to proactively mitigate risk by analyzing information form various sources that allow Corporate Security and the business to understand and prevent threats. This includes information that is related but not limited to geo-political threats, organized criminal threats, terrorism, and any other issues impacting day-to-day business.
