Brand Manager - AUS+
The position will reporting directly to the Country Manager, the incumbent is responsible to develop the portfolio strategies to drive JTI’s business growth. Working closely with the Strategic Insights and Finance, they will translate consumer insights to develop pricing strategies to grow market share and improve profitability. They will be the brand communication custodian for existing and new brand launches, in regular contact with JTI global brand management, global / local communication agencies and work closely to collaborate with other internal and external shareholders.
As the Brand Manager in the area of Marketing & Sales, you will:
- Work with Country Manager to resolve Portfolio Strategy, identify challenges and opportunities to meet the company’s goals. Deep dive into key strategic inquiries, capture relevant data, conduct analysis and/or researches to generate insights and drawing forward-looking conclusions. Supervise the emerging medium to long-term trends of consumers, selected channels and the retail environment, analyse by brand, region, channel and etc. to identify gaps versus objectives and propose action steps to close gaps.
- Work closely with the Regional/HQ Research Group and handle local research agencies to initiate to provide insights on consumer needs/profiles/behaviors, segmentation dynamics, channel and trade characteristics as well as equity of JTI brands. Initiate management summaries with conclusions and recommendations on actions to take to build JTI brands.
- Develop a proven pricing model, taking into consideration competitors' movement and trend, and work in close collaboration with the Strategic Insights and Finance Manager to propose the best pricing strategy in line with the portfolio objectives.
- Own the product development projects, including compliance with internal systems and processes and collaboration with various internal partners.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years proven experience in FMCG brand functions.
- Good understanding of full marketing mix. Proven track record to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Highly creative with ability to think out of the box.
- Has strong agency and project management skills.
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and empower.
- Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking. Comfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets.
- Strong commercial mentality
- Sophisticated communication and social skills.
- Strong eye for business, quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities
- Competitive intelligence / assessment
- Exposure in New Product/packaging development
- Portfolio positioning and margin improvement
- Strong experience in Brand positioning and image tracking.
- Experience in handling research agencies.
- Expert in MS Excel & MS Power Point.
