Position purpose:

 

The RRP Insights Strategy Manager plays a critical role in empowering JTI by supporting the RRP Insights Strategy Director in building and curating an exceptional knowledge system. This system provides connected, actionable, and forward-thinking insights that are vital for driving the RRP business forward. By gathering, analyzing, and disseminating insights on the RRP landscape, commercial operations, and consumer behavior, this position directly influences decision-making across business strategy, marketing programs, product development, sales, and consumer care. With a deep understanding of both the current and future nicotine market, as well as adult users' preferences and challenges, the RRP Insights Strategy Manager will enhance JTI's offerings and experiences, resulting in increased customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term retention.


As a key player in supporting the RRP Insights Strategy Director, the RRP Insights Strategy Manager will deliver in-depth analysis and insights into the nicotine business environment, focusing on existing and emerging Reduced Risk Product categories. This role will drive the creation of a clear, data-driven understanding of adult consumers, capturing their needs, motivations, shopping habits, and consumption drivers. By contributing to a robust view of consumer behavior and market trends, the Manager will empower the organization to make astute decisions and stay ahead of industry advancements.

Moreover, the RRP Insights Strategy Manager will take charge of maintaining and evolving an integrated insights system for JTI. Collaborating closely with the Strategic Insights team and other key stakeholders, the Manager will ensure that insights are not only actionable but also aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

Establish RRP Insights Strategic Framework:

- Drive the development and refinement of the RRP Strategic Insights Fundamentals. 

- Clearly define key consumer segments and target audiences within the nicotine market. 

- Strategically map consumer trial and adoption journeys, motivations, and dimensions. 

 

Manage Strategic Insights Agenda:

- Take charge as the primary guiding force for the Strategic Insights Agenda, ensuring full alignment with JTI’s objectives. 

- Clearly define and prioritize key big questions and themes to establish a robust insights roadmap. 

 

Lead Actual & Strategic Plan Development:

- Spearhead the annual development of the A&SP, fully aligned with JTI's cycle planning. 

- Proactively coordinate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication of our strategic direction and messaging. 

- Develop and leverage strategic insights as a trusted partner, driving impactful business success through valuable insights and connections. 

- Cultivate and sustain a culture where consumer insights are at the heart of our strategies and practices. 

 

Insights Democratization:

- Deliver timely and high-quality input for Strategic Insights updates and clarification sessions.

- effectively represent the Strategic Insights team in key forums and meetings, ensuring that markets and regions are fully informed about our initiatives.

- Forge impactful connections across JTI’s pillars and regions.

- Empower regions and markets to localize and implement actionable insights for successful marketing activation programs.

Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing and/or Business Administration (or similar). Specialization and/or master degrees related to Business/Marketing Strategy or Data Analysis are considered as a plus.
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience in consumer-centric marketing strategy, brand management, or insights generation, with a demonstrated ability to contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in international or cross-functional roles and familiarity with reduced-risk products will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills. Any additional language will be considered as a plus.
  • Strategic mindset with a curiosity for continuous learning and innovation in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, capable of understanding the big picture while also paying attention to relevant details.
  • Effective communicator with strong negotiation skills, able to influence conversations and outcomes, even in challenging situations.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities, proactively leading and embracing change.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on fostering a positive work environment built on openness and trust.
