Corporate Strategy Manager

 

 
Position purpose:

 

The incumbent will be supporting the Corporate Strategy team in the the definition, review, evaluation and communication of JTI's Strategy. The individual will monitors and track industry trends and competitive landscape, as well as perform various in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses supporting corporate strategy. Corporate Strategy Manager will contribute to the development of materials related to Senior Leadership Processes (A&SP, MYR, Strategic Review Committee, etc.) as well as other ad-hoc tasks.

 

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Screen regularly industry trends and competitive landscape. Monitor and track competitors' disclosures and analyst reports. Always aspire to learn more about the nicotine and FMCG industry. Proactively propose new content and formats for business intelligence deliverables. Explore areas of improvement in collecting, consolidating, and updating data relative to business intelligence with other functions
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses as defined by CS Director. Review strategic and organizational posture of competitors (e.g. strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for JTI)
  • Support the development and implementation of modeling tools to perform deeper analyses on the competitive environment. Suggests processes improvement when possible
  • During certain periods of the year, support the Director in the development of slides, Q&A, and/or back-up for A&SP, MYR, and Strategic Review Committees. Contribute to the realization of presentation. Interact with other teams to gather data and information as required. Play an important role in checking the consistency of data across different sources
  • Execute other tasks and assignments as directed (e.g. ad-hoc analyses and presentations, cross-team projects)


Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably within multinationals in  FMCG or top tier Consulting firms
  • Strong quantitative (financial analysis and modeling), critical thinking as well as communication skills (written and verbal), are pre-requisite for the role as well as an ability to understand the "big picture" and deliver complex matters in a digestible form
  • High level of English proficiency a must
  • MS Office with strong skills in Power Point presentations and excel modeling are required
