BTS Consumer Technical Support IT Director

 

The position:

 

The Business Technology IT Director is a senior IT position to support B2C Consumer Digitalization projects, systems evolution and IT services provided.
The position is therefore a strategic leadership position that liaises on a regular basis with several JTI Management teams such as Digital Business Unit (DBU), Marketing and Sales (M&S), Reduce Risk Products (RRP) and Market (Countries) Management teams to deploy the Digital EcoSystem, managing roll-out project plans with required resources and budget. 

The scope of the Consumer Digital EcoSystem journey includes e-commerce & websites, content mgt systems, consumer insights, loyalty systems, marketing automation, progressive web application, identity access and consent management, integrated micro services through APIs, IoT, artificial intelligence (AI), Age verification gateway, Payment proxy, order mgt system (OMS), product information mgt (PIM) and Digital Asset Mgt (DAM) among others.

 

Main area of responsibilities:  
•    IT Director supporting Digital Business Unit (DBU) on any technology touch-point with Consumers, responsible to liaise with DBU, M&S and RRP functions and in particular lead Markets roll-outs for Consumer touch-points such as e-commerce and supporting tools; marketing automation, consumer insights, loyalty solutions, mobile or social systems. 
•    Work directly with DBU & IT leadership teams to fully understand the business plan.
•    Project Definition: collaborates with relevant business stakeholders (ie: drumbeat team) to delivery, following agile methodologies, roll-out plans including project governance, scope, budget & resourcing.
•    For Consumer Technical applications and support, is the IT BTS Director responsible to define and justify, at financial review, the strategic portfolio of Consumer-IT project initiatives and required budget.
•    Ensure strategic portfolio is aligned with the Finance Lead/Controller supporting DBU and M&S.
•    Manages the interdependencies between business initiatives requiring integrated or cross-functional IT teams including roadmaps for technical upgrades.
•    Take an active role in using and improving Agile methodologies implementation in JTI and continuously develop new ways of working (nWoW) to drive speed as well as performance improvement & measurement.
•    Constantly improve operations and the goal to ensure Operational Readiness is applied to each solution going life in the most standard and therefore faster approach.
•    Review mature proof of Concepts (PoC) delivered by other teams to ensure they are deployable to all existing and new markets and refine deployment process to maximize efficiency and speed.
•    Represents IT on required operational steering committees.
•    Ensure IT systems falling under J-SOX scope fulfil audit requirements.
•    Ensure compliance to corporate IT security policies, procedures and standards to ensure consistent protection of information assets of the business functions.
•    Direct participation in the recruitment, coaching and Dialogue process of own key team leads.
•    Manage external vendors, contractors and/or outsourced staff.

 

You as a professional
•    15+ years of IT experience with advisory profile
•    Degree in Engineering (computer science or related discipline) and / or degree in Business Management; 
•    Expertise knowledge of Digital business and B2C processes in FMCG industry.
•    Have ability to translate Digital business requirements into strategic technology roadmaps and deliverables; 
•    Engage with, advise and manage expectations of senior stakeholders 
•    Understand how IT impacts business and vice versa in terms of technology; 
•    Know how to manage complexity in business transformation; 
•    Agile certification, advance analytics knowledge, proficient with computers and Microsoft Office; 
•    Fluent in English and with great communication skills
