Scientific Regulatory Affairs MENEAT Manager
Position:
The SRA MENEAT Manager provides, along with the SRA MENEAT Director, direct SRA support to the MENEAT region (Middle East, Near East, Africa and Turkey), MENEAT markets and relevant functions (e.g., Corporate Affairs & Communication, Legal, Marketing & Sales, Research & Development, Global Supply Chain, Business Development) to ensure JTI's product portfolio compliance, competitiveness, and sustainable business continuity for conventional and reduced risk products.
Responsibilities:
- They take part in the monitoring and interpretation of product regulations and standards, in the assessment of their business impact, and the communicating to relevant stakeholders in SRA and in other HQ/Regional/Market functions
- They analyze regulatory issues and trends and take part in providing guidance to the business to mitigate the impact of expected changes and developments
- They participate, in collaboration with other SRA functions, in the development of science-based solutions to address product compliance issues, scientific challenges, and guide business decisions and strategies
- They participate in the scientific engagement with regulators, standardization bodies and relevant industry and trade associations, to ensure representation of JTI positions and recommendations regarding regulations
Who are we looking for:
- University degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Toxicology, or related sciences
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tobacco, FMCG or other relevant industries
- Good knowledge and understanding of product regulations and standards, regulatory and enforcement organizations
- Business acumen combined with scientific knowledge - connecting regulatory and product compliance / scientific matters with business objectives, plans and priorities
- A team player with strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with key stakeholders across functions
- High level of English proficiency a must (other languages a bonus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP is a plus
