Position: Treasury Specialist

Department: Global Treasury

Reporting to: Treasury Manager

Job Location: Head Office, Gulshan, Dhaka

The Treasury Specialist ensures that all the appropriate and applicable treasury governance and process are in place. He/She supports Group Treasury activities such as global banking relationship, liquidity management, FX risk management and cash/debt forecasting.

Given Bangladesh's complex banking regulatory environment, this position is also accountable for all activities related to banking regulations to ensure business continuity.
 

What Will You Do:

Entity Financing:

• Responsible for local bank and I/C financing operations.
• Analysis for I/C financing and regulatory approval from BIDA (including TP analysis, accounting, Tax impact, and operational activities)
• Ensure compliance of I/C financing with loan agreements and local regulation.
• Management of Central Bank documentation and reporting requirements. Ensure clear alignment and fast issue resolution with the regulators.

Bank Relationship:

• Selection and management of local banks' relationships in line with global banking strategy.
• Complying with all local banking regulatory rules and compliance to JTI Treasury policies.
• Maintain and ensure effective relationships with local and international financial institutions in the country.
• Assist banking service reviews in the country.
• Explore new banking opportunities to support business operation.

Planning, Cash repatriation strategies, Processes and Reporting:

• Assist with the coordination and review of entity planning input for LE and ASP (Treasury items only).
• Implementation of debt/equity structure in the country.
• Review Treasury aspects of business flows and impact on financial metrics.
• Lead the treasury month-end closing process.
• Timely submission of all external regulatory reports.

Treasury Operations:

• Management of bank accounts.
• Facilitate transactions & handle FX transactions.
• Ensure compliance to Treasury P&Ps & process alignment among the market and factory for treasury operations.
• Assist to process expat remittance, cross border payment, trade facilities.
• Assist to assess financial risk & ensure JSOX compliance.

Business Support:

• Ensure all appropriate banking setup are in place to support our business operations.
• Assist to take investment decisions for entity employees’ provident fund.
• Provide audit related support (Statutory, Global, Tax).
• Facilitate banking channel transaction support to business.
• Coordinate with GBS for banking transaction.

We Expect from You:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance (or equivalent), Banking, Accounting, Economics, or related field from a reputed institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Treasury role in a global company or bank.

• Good knowledge of Financial Management & local banking regulations.
