Position: Head of Strategic Insights

Reporting: Marketing Director

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh


Position Purpose:

The incumbent leads the Strategic Insights function, which serves as the single source of market data, including consumer and trade insights for the organization. This role plays a key part in strategic planning by providing company management, marketing, and sales (M&S) with information and recommendations for both tactical and strategic decision-making.


What Will You Do:

Strategic Planning and Knowledge:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Sales Team to ensure unified strategic planning and support.
  • Provide insights for new product development, brand activation, and trade marketing.
  • Assist the Sales team in identifying gaps and opportunities to boost volumes and SOM.
  • Manage market relationships with SI teams in Geneva and the region.

 

Internal and External Reporting:

  • Review and apply best practices in research, analytics, and business information management.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the company reporting repository and dashboards.
  • Optimize data gathering and analysis to support decision-making and resource efficiency.

 

Market Model Preparation:

  • Develop scenarios for market size, consumption, and illicit trade evolution.
  • Analyze price segments, competitor evolution, excise, and price dynamics.
  • Integrate data into the Market Model tool

 

Internal Collaboration:

  • Work with the Marketing Director to enhance research tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Portfolio, and Trade marketing teams to identify market opportunities and provide insights.

 

External Collaboration and Administration:

  • Manage cooperation with outsourcing suppliers for reliable market and consumer data.
  • Ensure efficient project contract management and timely approvals.
  • Oversee budget management and provide regular status reports and budget proposals.

 

We Expect from You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in informatics, Economics, Cybernetics, or Economy-Commerce; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • 12+ years of managerial experience in SI/BI and/or FMCG commercial functions (Sales/Marketing); international experience is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Expertise in pricing, trade terms, and margin analysis, with strong skills in brand management, distribution strategy, logistics, forecasting, financial acumen, project management, global agency coordination, market research, and competitive intelligence.
