The role of the Maintenance Lead encompasses several key responsibilities aimed at ensuring the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of maintenance systems within their area. Here are the main duties and expectations:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance and Breakdown Management:

    • Implement and maintain the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (MPS) and Breakdown Elimination (BDE) Daily Management Systems (DMS).
    • Eliminate maintenance and breakdown-related losses on assigned cells.
    • Develop short-term (24-hour) and mid-term (up to 90 days) action plans with Cell Leads and Teams to improve maintenance systems and eliminate breakdowns.
    • Participate in key planned maintenance activities.
  2. Coaching and Development:

    • Coach line teams to enhance their technical abilities and knowledge.
    • Ensure the application of IWS (Integrated Work System) principles, methodologies, and daily practices to meet operational objectives.
    • Build the capability of line teams, fostering self-sufficiency through training and development in relevant DMS and tools.
  3. Daily Management Systems (DMS) and Tools:

    • Establish, maintain, and improve the effectiveness of assigned DMSs and supporting tools for their cell.
    • Ensure the proper execution and daily adherence to DMS, including Breakdown Elimination (BDE) and Maintenance Planning and Scheduling (MP&S).
    • Utilize supporting tools such as deep cleaning activities and Dice charts to enhance maintenance processes.
  4. Technical Knowledge and Standards Creation:

    • Develop deep technical knowledge within operating teams to support the creation and implementation of standards aimed at loss elimination.

Objectives:

  • Improve technical ability and operational efficiency of line teams.
  • Achieve and sustain maintenance and breakdown performance targets.
  • Ensure continuity and integration of Progressive Maintenance (PM) systems across the operation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

This role is essential for driving operational excellence, reducing downtime, and ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of maintenance processes
