HR Finance Specialist - Danville, VA

 

 

Position Overview: As a People & Culture (HR) Finance Specialist at JTI Leaf Services, you will play a vital role in handling labor cost calculations and reporting, as well as ensuring the quality of payroll management within our Danville operational environment. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting accurate human capital and financial data to support cost planning and accounting efforts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cost center managers and HR Partners to determine headcounts, salary structures, and fringe benefits data for various planning cycles.
  • Calculate, analyze, and monitor plan data for designated factory populations, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Prepare HR reports and staff data related to salary costs, time management, absences, and statistics to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Address ad-hoc requests from the business, providing data reports and consolidated information from HR systems.
  • Support global and local projects and initiatives, including payroll system upgrades and process enhancements.
  • Coordinate internal J-Sox Controls for the People & Culture department and prepare for internal and external audits.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with payroll management systems, SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to payroll and HR processes.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Resilience and ability to operate in a startup environment.
