Local Category Manager – Procurement (m/w/d)
Fixed term contract – family leave cover approximately 12 months 

 

 

Position Purpose
 

Reporting to the Cluster Procurement Manager for Central West Europe, working as part of a multi-functional team the role of Local Category Manager is responsible for the procurement activities of different categories for Swiss Market and Factory based in Dagmersellen.

 

Scope of role


Category Management Strategy: 
•    The incumbent is responsible to support procurement activities for Swiss Market and Factory. 
•    Establish relationships with budget holders and participation in cost and supply base improvement efforts.
•    Demonstrate value to business partners through collective collaboration and knowledge and experience with negotiating contracts.
•    Consistently working with strong communication skills, organizational skills, and cost-savings initiatives
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

 

Supplier Management: 
•    Manage Communications with various agencies and suppliers
•    Recommends timely strategic decisions where relevant to secure procurement efficiencies. 
•    Demonstrates ability to challenge status quo, proposes and runs projects that will add value to the Company. 

 

KPIs & Targets: 
•    Leads and /or supports supplier negotiations, bidding processes in close cooperation with respective business partners to ensure best combination of quality, cost and service parameters / conditions for products and services are attained. 
•    Drives ad hoc cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Business Partnership: 
•    Ensure business connectivity and foster collaborative business partnership with local stakeholders. 
•    Focuses on demonstrating value of Business Partnership, by developing a customer-oriented approach. 
•    Aligns strategy with key business partners and ensures it meets Business' priorities. 

 

Qualifications & Experience
•    Minimum 1 year experience in Procurement 

 

Skills, Competencies & Languages
•    English fluent 
•    German is an advantage 
•    Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop good relationship and credibility with internal stakeholders and affiliates as well as suppliers
•    Comfortable leading and driving commercial negotiations
•    Good communication skills
