Corporate & Distribution Systems Team Lead

 

What this role is about?

 

The Corporate & Distribution Systems Team Lead will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of Track & Trace software components in collaboration with in-house and outsourced resources. You will work closely with BTS to gather functional requirements and develop technical solutions in a project-oriented environment that also involves overseeing bug fixing, minor change request implementation, service requests implementation, and problem investigation. The Team Lead will manage outsourced development teams and work closely with the project manager to estimate development resources, budget, and delivery plan, while also highlighting risks.

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the development and delivery of Track & Trace software components, working with in-house and outsourced resources
  • Analyze and communicate functional requirements from BTS to the external development team leads, and ensure that new development fulfills security and technical requirements
  • Work with project managers and external service providers to estimate development resources, budgets, and delivery plans, and highlight development-related risks
  • Manage development activities with external development teams, ensuring that proper unit testing activities are completed and that migration between environments is executed optimally
  • Manage relationships and service delivery with Track & Trace Development Center service providers, and lead housekeeping internal projects to migrate Track & Trace Development Center applications to new technology standards
  • Provide Level 2 application support for both production and development, resolving minor and complex incidents
  • Be part of project teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions to meet user requirements

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • University degree in Information Technologies (Computer Science, Software Engineering and Automation, Cybernetics or similar) or Strong Practical and Theoretical IT Background 
  • On-hand experience working in Software Development Projects of 3-5 years as an Analyst, Developer, and Team Lead
  • English - Fluent or Upper Intermediate (essential)
  • Good skills of Technical Document writing and reviewing
  • Strong knowledge of the following technologies:
  • Relational Databases (MS SQL Server or Oracle)
  • Web Technologies and Web Development (.NET, Java)
  • XML Technologies
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Basic knowledge of Software Project Management Methodologies, and other IT areas such as Networks and Security
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong, mature personality, Self-confident, Self-motivated, looking for challenges, works independently and remotely
  • Customer Oriented attitude
  • Flexibility and Openness to New Technologies
  • Excellent time management skills for working in multitasking environments
  • Willing and capable to travel to other JTI or JTI Business Partners locations as per each project’s requirements (Depending on the Projects’ schedule the time spent away from the home location may reach 10% of the total working time
