Regional Sales Manager


What this position is about - Purpose:


This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional to manage a team of 82 Sales Professionals, Field Marketing & Brand Ambassadors. We are now moving into a 'Commercialization phase' whereby the incumbent will be responsible for both the Direct Sales Team as well as the 'Field Marketing' team to have a holistic operation of managing both sales, distribution & visibility alongside activations to achieve our commercial objectives in coordination with our marketing colleagues. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and executing indirect distribution leveraging sub-distributors & wholesalers to expand our distribution footprint in line with our growing consumer demand.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading all the Sales Operations in their respective area, with full ownership of total area performance, people development, Share of Market growth, and customer base expansions. Supporting the team by applying both Pull & Push programs to ensure effective distribution and a healthy growing offtake trend.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate the performance facts and figures to the team are crucial, to ensure a high-paced operation with a positive mindset and forward momentum.

The incumbent will be working closely with the marketing team to identify opportunities to activate relevant SKUs based on our consumer segmentation.

  What will you do – Responsibilities:


  • Active participation in the company Cycle plans ( SPC, A&SP)
  • Full ownership and responsibility for achieving the set objectives of volume and SoM growth within his respective area.
  • Commercializing the field force by Planning the way forward for Pull and Push programs to ensure the utilization of the full potential in the area through enhancing distribution efficiency and maximizing offtake. 
  • Monitoring and ensuring a positive growth trend in SoM. 
  • Advanced analytical skills, in both comprehension, development, and communication. 
  • Ability to identify key opportunities and crucial challenges, by building an effective operational plan guiding the team into a positive growth trend of total area performance, while utilizing the allocated budget in line with company direction. 
  • Active participation in the monthly planning process, constructive inputs expected on field force KPIs, Internal competitions, and trade programs. 
  • All in order of meeting the company plans and targets by enforcing the one-team mentality.
  • Precise tracking and monitoring of monthly Credit Notes “CRNs” issued to our trade partners, as per volume performance and visibility status, while keeping an organized history of issued CRNs with proof of receiving. 
  • Monthly reports and market visit verifications to ensure customers are maintaining their performance and growing while keeping a solid track record of all Permeant Point Of Sale Materials “PPOSM’s” placement within the respective area
  • Full tracking and monitoring of all competition activities and market updates, including RRSP compliance, brand launches, trade programs & activations. 
  • Ongoing people development through on-the-job training, 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring sessions, weekly team meetings, monthly team reviews & regular feedback. 
  • Ensuring future leaders are being developed, for new roles and succession planning.
  • Solid knowledge of Consumer Segmentation is expected, to ensure accurate on-ground implementations across different customer segments, channels, and areas. 
  • Ensuring efficient brand reach and growing trends of both awareness and SoM.


Whom are we looking for – Requirements:


  • University Bachelor Degree
  • 7+ Years of sales team management in the FMCG industry
  • Competencies: problem solver, team mentality, lead by example, project management, strategies planning & hands-on execution
  • Arabic – Mother’s tongue 
  • English - Excellent Spoken & Written 
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Solid Communication Skills
  • Strong Leadership Skills
