NPD (New Product Development) Support Manager  

 

What this position is about – purpose:

 

As the NPD Support Manager, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating and implementing new product development (NPD) projects. This includes launching new products according to JTI standards, procedures, and specifications while meeting client cost and timing requirements. You’ll lead the optimization of product development processes and specifications, ensuring high product quality, efficient material performance on production lines, reduced complexity, and cost savings. Additionally, you will ensure all activities align with JTI’s internal rules, legal standards, and the IWS system requirements.

 

What will you do - Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the seamless launch of new product development projects, ensuring all meet JTI standards for quality, timing, and cost.
  • Drive feasibility assessments and optimize specifications to boost product quality, streamline production, and reduce costs.
  • Ensure all regulatory and SKU requirements are met for smooth, compliant product launches.
  • Oversee accurate and timely data management, keeping cross-functional teams aligned.
  • Champion the validation of new materials and specification changes in SAP, partnering with R&D to keep production agile.
  • Track team performance and project timelines, continuously identifying improvements for faster, smarter outcomes.

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

 

  • University degree, preferably in a technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within FMCG, with experience in coordinating new product development and strong factory process knowledge (including CAPEX, VMC, and product specification management).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP would be an advantage.
  • Fluent English and Romanian, both verbal and written. 
  • Advanced understanding of product and process knowledge.
  • Good understanding of New Product Development.
  • Project Management/Statistics skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain.
