API Software Engineer

What this position is about - Purpose:

The position exists to perform development service for IT  MMDC INTEGRATION DEVELOPMENT team. The scope includes API design, development, and maintenance using Microsoft development tools and the Azure API management stack.

Software Engineer collaborates closely with his/her peers, IT & business stakeholders to ensure that the development activities focuses on business outcomes & customer satisfaction.

He/she will work on the Agile ways of working currently implemented in JTI and will work on specific workstreams that contains web/mobile applications specific for a business area.

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

Perform development activities:

• Write clean and scalable code
• Review, update and refactor existing code
• Perform development activities related to projects/changes/incidents

Testing and deployment activities:

• Perform testing activities in order to ensure proper code quality
• Support the process of automatic delivery of the solution

Research and development activities:

• Advocate consistency and best practices in our code and architecture
• Seeking & evaluating new technologies & concepts
• Identify business cases and needs with R&D practices

Who are we looking for - Requirements:

• University/college degree or equivalent work experience on computer sciences
• Experience in Information Technology, preferably in international corporations
• Proven API development experience
• Experienced with RESTful API design and development
• Experience with Azure PaaS solutions and services (LogicApps, Azure Functions)
• Experienced to work with remote teams within Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Understanding on the Microsoft Technology Stack. Ability to implement technical solutions using modern paradigms
• Strong knowledge of C# and .Net
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work in a highly dynamic and changing environment.
• Knowledge of software design and testing methodology
• Nice to have: experience with security frameworks would be beneficial like OAUTH2 and Open ID Connect
