WHAT IS THIS POSITION ABOUT? 

The role will be responsible for managing and optimizing the proper documentation of waste pulled out in the factory as well as proper documentation and database management of write-off destruction and disposal.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

  • Bachelor's Degree in any four-year business administration and/or legal management course/ Environmental Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in environmental administration

  • Meticulous with experience in database management and documentation

  • Preferably with a background in ISO 14001:2015, Environment Management System, and ISO 45001:28 Occupational Health and Safety Management System

  • Pollution Control Officer experience is a plus

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

  • Serve as JTI's representative to witness the disposal of finished goods, leaf, and other BIR Regulated Non-Tobacco Material, adhering to conditions outlined in the BIR Permit to Dispose/Destruct. Also responsible for ensuring timely and accurate recording of waste by the contractor.

  • Handle the write-off documentation and reporting progress, ensuring updates, verification, and timely submission of destruction and documentation reports by the contractor.

  • Maintain precise records of all waste-related activities, covering disposal of Leaf, Finished Goods (FG), Non-Tobacco Material, Scrap, and Fixed Asset Destruction.

  • Act as the primary contact for waste endorsements, focusing on tracking of destruction and disposal of write-offs for scraps, fixed assets, Tobacco, and Non-Tobacco Materials to maintain chain of custody and accurate quantity determination. 

  • Generate truck daily gate passes for the removal of various waste types from the company premises, with an average of 5 truck departures per day.

  • Regularly review the waste center's encoding, permitting, and reporting to ensure compliance with waste management policies and regulations. 

  • Conduct routine observations of waste document filing of operations to guarantee adherence to established procedures and safety protocols. 

  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by Management. A proactive approach to the completion of business tasks, business acumen, and willingness to develop together with the company. Compliance with EHS procedures, labor law, corporate guidance, internal regulations, and work performance instructions.
