Trade Marketing Manager for our office in Amstelveen.


ABOUT THE ROLE
 

The role is crucial and is key for the development, execution, and optimization of trade programs focused on the Tobacco, Convenience, and Petrol channels. The main programs are category management, trade engagement, and various online and offline activation programs to implement at our key trade partners. In addition, we expect you to develop new programs on a continuous basis in line with our overall M&S strategies and objectives within the category. You will be working closely with the Brand- and Channel Management teams and will have regular contact with our trade partners and external agencies. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

       

  • Work in close collaboration with the total M&S community and other supporting functions in order to ensure alignment and buy-in of the assigned multi-channel trade programs and trade activities.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness vs. KPIs, monitor results, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive in-store retailer brand awareness for the heated tobacco category to maximize knowledge transfer in an ever more darkened market. Create an omnichannel approach delivering the most effective consumer-centric online and offline trade marketing tools reaching retailer and shopper-facing staff in a consistent and integrated way, in an intrinsically engaging manner, and within the confines of legislation.
  • Develop and deliver strategic heated tobacco category management projects and give continued category advice to Trade in cooperation with Channel, Strategic Insights, and Brand Marketing. Support Channel Management in meeting preparation for Trade Marketing programs and join meetings whenever appropriate to improve the overall business and trade relationships within assigned channels and accounts.
  • Advanced data-driven program management and optimization, making sure decisions are made on available data and investigating trade needs supporting JTI’s objectives.
  • Create action plans based on retailer feedback and understanding of retailer needs.
  • Monitor and report the trade marketing budget via monthly budget tracking.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Minimal 5 years of Sales/Trade Marketing track record within A-brand consumer goods company
  • WO/HBO (commercial/trade marketing discipline)
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, Power BI (as an advantage)
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with data, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, whilst maintaining attention to detail and dealing with uncertainty
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Proactiveness, effective presentation skills, and strategic thinking
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch is essential
