Then we have the perfect role for you. For our Internal Audit Department, we are looking for an ambitious and strategic full-time IA IT Team Manager for our office in Amstelveen.


ABOUT THE ROLE
 

Internal Audit serves as an independent monitoring function that reports to the Chairman of the JT International Group Holding B.V. Board. We drive value through the audit process and our advisory assignments, working with the business and IT to improve the way JTI works.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead the planning phase and preparation of the Audit or Management Support Planning Memorandum, which sets out the objectives and scope of the assignment.
  • Gather and review background information on the business or process to be reviewed, including through management interviews and the use of data analytics.
    • Identify key risks and challenges.
    • Derive a proposed audit scope and approach from the assessment of key risks and challenges for validation with the Internal Audit Director.
    • Agree on staffing needs with the Internal Audit Director, including co-sourcing or guest auditors if needed.
  • Manage the team and own time to deliver assignments under the supervision and guidance of the Director, ensuring that the objectives and scope are fully covered within the allotted timeframe.
  • Lead the conclusion of the assignment:
    • Ensure all key risks identified during planning are addressed and concluded upon. Fully own identified issues.
    • Draft assignment findings and recommendations, ensuring they are factually correct.
    • Discuss and incorporate changes recommended by the Director.
    • Draft assignment reports for review by the Internal Audit Director and assess management actions within the allotted timeframes.
    • Follow up on the timely implementation of management actions after the assignment.
  • Lead and develop a team of managers, both as direct reports and project team members.
  • Set annual objectives and review development plans for direct reports.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Be a contributor to the evolution of the Internal Audit Department, identifying opportunities and suggesting enhancements to Internal Audit assignment processes and programs.
    • Stay ahead of the curve by continuously developing technical knowledge around IT auditing, adapting to JTI’s ever evolving technology landscape.
    • Support departmental initiatives aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Audit function, making it an example of operational excellence

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • A relevant university degree and/or technical IT accreditations (e.g., Microsoft, SAP) are a must.
  • Qualifications and accreditations (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, CISSP) are welcome.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience across a combination of the following:
    • In an international external audit firm/professional services.
    • Relevant internal IT audit experience, preferably from the Consumer Goods industry.
    • Relevant IT (not IT audit) experience, including an awareness of audit principles and/or maintaining IT compliance standards.
  • Team management experience (at least 2 years).
  • A specialism in one or more IT disciplines used at JTI (e.g., IT Security, SAP, Database management, Network technologies, IT Service Management, Microsoft enterprise platforms).
  • "Data friendly" with the ability to understand, manipulate, and leverage data for analysis and reporting.
  • A self-starter mindset, quick learner, and appetite for personal development.
  • A strong team spirit and demonstrated capacity to work in JTI's multicultural environment.
  • Ability to apply structured Internal Audit methodology and use the Audit Management System.
  • Proven ability to manage a project team: setting objectives, coaching, supervision, providing feedback on performance, and team motivation.
  • Excellence in relationship management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with proficiency in additional languages being a highly valued asset.
