Then we have the perfect role for you. For our Finance department, we are looking for a full-time Credit Control Specialist.
CREDIT CONTROL SPECIALIST
The Credit Control Associate assists the Credit Control Manager in safeguarding the assets of JTI Company Netherlands and managing the credit granting process. This role involves overseeing all aspects of customers, including daily operations, assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers, and reviewing existing accounts while supporting the commercial goals of the BNL market.
Position:
- Manage the day-to-day debtor ledger, ensuring strict adherence to credit policy guidelines and JSOX controls.
- Review and maintain collections of outstanding payments daily, fostering positive customer relationships.
- Reconcile all AR accounts monthly, ensuring accurate posting of transactions during month-end processes.
- Prepare and provide credit information to the Credit Committee and auditors on aging, credit exposures, and DSO.
- Identify potential bad debtors, ensure appropriate provisions are made, and report to local management promptly.
- Support the Credit Control Manager in reviewing and updating local credit policies to align with global standards and address NL needs.
- Assist in monitoring all AR credit lines in line with global/local credit policies in accordance with predefined credit management guidelines as per company policies and procedures, ensuring timely assessment of creditworthiness of current and potential customers.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Focus on understanding company policies and procedures.
- Establish trust and effective communication channels within the team, GBS, as well as with the Credit Control Manager.
- Gain proficiency in the ERP systems used by the company.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in credit control or a closely related field is essential.
- Experience in finance, accounting, and management exposure is preferable.
- Strong PC skills (MS Office) and working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably S4F) are desirable but not essential.
- Fluent in English.
- At least a good level of Dutch.
- Ability to work within a team and a willingness to learn.
