Strategic Insights Manager

 

 

What this position is about - Purpose:

 

The incumbent is responsible to provide high quality consumer and trade marketing research data, along with strategic insights to formulate actionable and winning portfolio, brand, trade, and distribution strategies for Jordan.

 

 

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

 

 

  • Supervise, monitor and control reserach agencies (eg Nielsen , Ipsos) to provide accurate and business-related information on consumer and customer trends, behaviours and competitive activity
  • Provide support to the continuous monitoring and analysis of the retail audit data, project material preparation, project management, coordination and in-depth analysis of the various SI projects across Jordan market, assuring accurate and timely reporting of deliverables
  • Continous monitoring and analysis of the company’s brand performance and competitive environment through the retail audit data received for Jordan market
  • Initiates and develops research projects to provide information on consumer needs/profiles/ behaviors, segmentation dynamics, channel and trade characteristics as well as equity of the company brands
  • Identify opportunities and develop proposals and business models for new growth opportunities and products for the Jordan Market 
  • Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent

 

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements: 

 

  • University degree in Applied mathematics & statistics/ Finance, or BA in Advertising & Marketing
  • Expert skills in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent in Arabic and English
  • Both global & regional (in-market) experience (desirable)
  • Experience with working on international brands (desirable)
  • Cross-cultural experience
  • Solid background in consumer and trade research
  • Appreciation of legislation / taxation, external relations, and marketing standards in the tobacco industry
  • Proven leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Data Analysis
