Logistics & NPD Manager

 

Position:

As the Logistics & NPD Manager in JTI Jordan, you will: 

  • Lead the Logistics and NPD function with a focus on continuous improvement by setting clear KPIs, driving root cause analysis, and embedding best practices to elevate efficiency, agility, and cross-functional performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize logistics costs, including demurrage, detention, and port storage fees
  • Optimize outbound lead times through proactive supplier engagement, real-time tracking, and efficient shipping solutions
  • Strengthen relationships with freight forwarders, regulatory authorities, and suppliers to enhance supply chain resilience
  • Establish financial reporting on logistics costs, providing insights to drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure compliance
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between R&D, procurement, production, marketing, and regulatory teams for smooth product launches
  • Assess supply chain readiness for new products, including raw materials, packaging, and production feasibility
  • Identify and mitigate risks in logistics and supply chain planning to prevent disruptions and inventory issues
  • Oversee the early-stage development and onboarding process for new products, ensuring efficiency and compliance

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or new product development (preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment)
  • Proven ability to implement proactive cost-reduction strategies in logistics and freight management
  • Strong background in logistics planning, supplier management, and risk mitigation
  • Experience optimizing outbound lead times through structured supply chain planning
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end NPD execution, ensuring timely and efficient product launches
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, demand planning tools, and data analytics for supply chain optimization
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while driving long-term efficiency
