DIGITAL E-COMMERCE OPERATIONS MANAGER (B2C)
 

Position Purpose:

You’ll be responsible for leading JTI’s E-commerce website to best in class in the market ahead of the competition. You will manage the development, execution, and continuous improvements of e-com operations end-to-end. You will work closely with external agencies, brand teams, HQ, marketplaces vendors and the market digital team to ensure consumer touch points and digital ecosystem work together to drive revenue for JTI brands.

What will you do – responsibilities:

 

  • Drive continuous development of JTI market e-commerce including plans to maximize revenue growth and competitor advantage on the market
  • Manage website stock via PIM (Product Information Management) tool, working closely with commercial planning to anticipate stock levels and avoid out of stock situations.
  • Working closely within Change Management systems, GDC/BTS
  • Contribute to JTI strategy via Strategic Plan Confirmation (SPC), Annual Plan (AP) and Annual & Strategic Plan (A&SP) process.
  • Translate the market strategy into ecommerce programs, recommend alternative strategies & initiatives, develop, and execute campaigns in line with global guidelines .
  • Produce new ideas, launch NPD and seasonal campaigns, whilst working alongside colleagues to formulate inclusive digital marketing & ecommerce plans and ensure a joined-up consumer journey both online and offline.
  • Keep up to date with innovations, and external developments outside of tobacco.
  • Ensure alignment with all internal and external stakeholders involved in e-commerce.
  • Responsible for external supplier relationships, ensuring that software utilized on the website ran smoothly, within budget, and under correct contracts and data policies.
  • Manage external agencies to deliver against JTI e-commerce ecosystem strategies and plans ensuring deadlines are met within budget and with correct resources.
  • Facilitate project alignment with the wider Marketing team to synchronize strategies and execution.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and maintain website stock within the assigned budget, monitoring, and reporting against agreed KPIs.
  • Plan and control to ensure the spend is allocated according to JSOX guidelines, within the agreed project budget, and phased correctly through the year.
  • Carry out reporting and analysis to continually improve strategies, product offerings, campaigns, and revenue.
  • Monitor performance and evaluate, sharing reports within the market and with HQ.
  • Maintain customer data and ensure that records are up-to-date and used compliantly with Data Protection laws.


 

Who are we looking for – requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital or equivalent professional experience in digital trade engagement. At least 5 years’ experience in Marketing.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in e-commerce operations including new functionality planning and testing, UX/UI, web content, digital marketing & e-commerce campaigns.
  • A strong interest in e-commerce, digital marketing and emerging technologies is essential.
  • Strong project management experience is essential and a high level of commercial awareness and business understanding.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
  • Flexible and the ability to work successfully in a close team environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft (PowerPoint, Excel) plus Power BI, SimilarWeb and JIRA preferred.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
