An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of CFO Jordan & Palestine, based in Amman, Jordan.

 

JTI Jordan is part of the MENEAT region, was established in 2000 and has since achieved an exceptional organic growth, holding 55+% SOM. Jordan has two operating entities; a market and a GSC.

 

A dynamic, experienced and results-oriented leader is needed to set and lead the financial strategy of Jordan essential for accurate Regional and Global Reporting. He/ she has the direct oversight of Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Internal Controls, and IT functions, while working closely with the GM and local Excom to set the business strategy.

 

 

Operational Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives (BS, P&L, Cash Flow, Working Capital). Provides timely, reliable and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts to the local Excom as well as Regional / Global colleagues.

     

  • Provides management team with strategic input on the financial implications of business activities and decisions. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with management team so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.

     

  • Directs and oversees all aspects of the Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Internal Controls and IT functions of the organization. Initiate efficiency measurement projects when necessary.

     

  • Manages and leads the financial planning (OL/LE/TDT/ASP, Business Review), internal and external reporting and the monthly actuals closing activities for Jordan within the guidelines and timings as set by Regional Finance, Corporate FP&A & Controllers Group. Directs and oversees process improvement for market planning, analysis and reporting (internal & external).

     

  • Leads the internal controls function.  Setup, execute and monitor baseline controls in compliance with JTI and local statutory / regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Takes responsibility for OG, P&P and BAP/MEMO compliance.  Internal Controls / FP&A team monitors BAP/MEMO expiration and renewal.
  • Manages the team of direct reports. Coach, develop and mentor the Finance team, and provide guidance and feedback in order to achieve optimum results and expand knowledge. This will also involve supporting the Finance recruitment process, whenever needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in multinational company, at least 3 - 5 years at Finance Director level. Preferable exposure to both market and manufacturing environment of an organization.
  • University level education (finance / business administration); professional qualification (US CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English language. Arabic is advantageous
