D&IT Director Kazakhstan, CAM & Caucasus

 
Position:

 

The objective of this position is to advise the Cluster Excom teams on D&IT strategy and to work closely with them and all D&IT teams to create and deliver a joint business plan for D&IT solutions and services.

Acting as a single point of contact for all D&IT services, you will address D&IT issues with market leads, provide consultancy on solutions, ensure delivery of effective D&IT services, innovative tools, and application standardization.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Business Relationship Management

 

  • The Cluster D&IT Lead develops the D&IT strategy to support the Cluster's mission and core objectives by working with the Senior Business Management teams in the markets for which they are responsible to fully understand their business plans
  • Assess and advise leaders in the Cluster on technologies and/or D&IT services available to support the delivery of their business plans. He/she is responsible for leading and overseeing all D&IT-related matters and providing effective communication to all parties involved

 

D&IT Vision & Strategy

 

  • Support the development of JTI's D&IT Vision and Strategy by providing input on Cluster requirements and priorities. Accountable for D&IT strategic planning in their Cluster and its alignment with company strategy

People Leadership

 

  • This role involves managing the career development and performance of a geographically distributed team, ensuring alignment with the company's vision, mission, and values. The incumbent is responsible for fostering leadership within the team and adhering to People & Culture best practices for reward and recognition to support business results.
  • Additionally, the role includes leading D&IT contractors and maintaining frequent communication with the D&IT regional team, particularly the Regional Program Director, to ensure proper capacity allocation and resource availability based on project priorities

Capacity Management

 

  • This role involves managing a geographically distributed team to support various business functions within the region. The key responsibilities include supervising the application portfolio, ensuring operational excellence, and leading the team to consolidate local systems into global or regional systems to reduce costs and workload
  • Additionally, the role requires engaging with Cluster D&IT Leads and the regional D&IT management team to communicate progress and align on capacity management and KPIs

D&IT Governance

 

  • Full ownership of respective D&IT budgets in Cluster. Responsible for planning of the Annual and Strategic plans & plan reviews and delivering financial commitments with clarity on how the budget is used to run existing services, the cost of transformation/change, and value gained from the changes. Optimize, control, and reduce costs, when possible, to improve Cluster efficiency and profitability
  • You will be responsible for planning, resource allocation, and priority setting in line with Business requirements and D&IT Strategy

Security, Business Continuity & Compliance

 

  • The Cluster D&IT lead is the main single point of contact for all D&IT-related matters and has full accountability for DRP as part of the Business Continuity Plan, Application Governance, J-Sox, and Audit review. The Cluster D&IT lead ensures adequate security and authorization concerning the use of hardware, software, and data for optimal use and to safeguard continuity, confidentiality, and integrity
  • Ensures business continuity by supervising the Disaster Recovery procedures and documentation. Fully supports the Cluster and global Legal teams with data investigations and chain of evidence process

 

Service Delivery Management

 

  • The Cluster D&IT Lead ensures the company's business community is provided with appropriate support and training/development in business systems, software, and hardware to make effective and efficient usage of systems and resources and enable users to achieve business goals. These solutions may be internally or externally provided
  • The Cluster D&IT Lead is fully accountable for ensuring that all shared business applications and solutions are stable, reliable, and compliant with the legislation (e.g. payroll, data sources, data integrity, etc.)


Who are we looking for:

 

  • 8+ years’ experience in the IT discipline with 5+ years of those years in IT management
  • University Degree in Computer or Technical Science or strong IT background (additional business education is a plus)
  • Proven leadership skills with business acumen to build strong business relationships at various levels of the organization, and with a rich coaching background
  • Strategic insight and excellent knowledge of business and related processes in areas such as Marketing & Sales, P&C, Finance and Legal
  • Proven people leadership skills, project management skills and IT performance management
  • Good financial and budgetary understanding
  • Excellent knowledge of D&IT technology, business applications and infrastructure which is standard within JTI, such as ERP & CRM business process analysis, Microsoft solutions, cloud and on-prem solutions and telecommunication.
  • Ability to drive for win-win solutions, articulate thoughts and to motivate disparate parties to work toward a common goal
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English. Russian and Kazakh are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, outstanding analytical skills, and ability to innovate and think outside the box
