Maker Technician
Position purpose:
As a Maker Technician you will supervise Maker employees, monitor their performance, ensure they comply with company and safety policies and delegating tasks appropriately. Maker Technician is responsible for maintaining high performance, ensuring production targetsand KPIs are meet with the highest quality and adhering safety standards.
What will you do – responsibilities:
- Leading Maker team by organizing shift schedules for team members, assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills, assisting with tasks if necessary, conducting performance reviews and sharing feedback with both factory management and team members in addition to training new and current team members on tasks
- Supporting production lead and line lead in planning, executing, monitoring, reporting and controlling all manufacturing and non-manufacturing to achieve the monthly/yearly production plan and core KPIs targets
- Maintaining proper standards for the equipment and machinery through planning and performing planned maintenance, preventive maintenance, makers spare parts management and overhaul duties
- Maintaining and enhancing 5S3R activities across factory premises in addition to taking an active role in ensuring continuous improvement initiatives and projects
- Ensuring that supervised employees always demonstrate safe behavior in line with JTI's EHS standards, complying with JTI's code of conduct, legal & other requirements
Who are we looking for – requirements:
- Academic background (Bachelor’s Degree, National Diploma or Higher National Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 - 5 years of experience in the manufacturing environment
- Arabic & English language
- Strong technical knowledge in makers maintenance and production processes, adequate Tobacco industry knowledge
- Good knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills (Decision-making, motivation and goal-setting) and strong problem-solving skills
