Project Engineer

Location: Vårgårda, Sweden

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Role: Permanent 

 

What this position is about - Purpose: 

 

The incumbent is will lead and coordinate Project Engineering activities in order to support all factory functions to achieve their commitments within the areas of Service, Investment, Agility. He/She will be responsible for factory CapEx management and implementation, BAP/Memo preparation, coordination of suppliers and contractors. He/She will work in close cooperation with Production, Factory Quality and Product Development Teams in technical projects and will be responsible for the Energy management system.

 

What will you do - Responsibilities: 

 

  • Lead and coordinate engineering projects in order to fulfill the business objectives and provide solid long term engineering solutions based on feasibility engineering studies;
  • Ensure full compliance with local legislation and JTI regulations (i.e. EHS, Fire safety, etc.);
  • Have the ownership for CapEx management for all dedicated projects, full responsibility for the performance of all installed technology. This includes the repair, spare parts management and preventative maintenance programs to achieve high performance levels at the best cost;
  • Lead and support the Improvement and Preventive Maintenance Programs in production linked to KPIs: Technical Efficiency, RR%, NTM Yield and Tobacco Yield, Energy Consumption, Waste Rate;
  • Support us in maintaining a safe and secure work environment, we adhere to local collective bargaining agreements;
  • Be responsible and actively run the ISO50001 Management system to identify any potential problems via data analysis and to identify future projects or improvements in the energy consumption at the site;
  • Support EHS Manager in ensuring compliance, maintenance and improvement of all EHS activities management systems at the factory.

 

Who are we looking for - Requirements: 

 

  • Engineering Bachelor Degree;
  • 1-2 years of experience in Project Management in Automation/ Mechanical engineering;
  • Fluent English and Swedish;
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office, preferable experience in MS Project and CAD-editors.
