Cell Lead



What this position is about - Purpose:


In this position, you will be responsible for producing many brands in compliance with the production plan with high efficiency and low reject rate in assigned M&P lines via implementing IWS Standards. You will lead the subordinates in order to meet set production targets (KPIs and other internal targets) in line with given directions and EHS guidelines. Coordinate maintenance and improvement activities with the Maintenance team, Engineering Department and Quality Department. Identify external and internal technical/non-technical training needs and provide implementation of these trainings to improve your team.



What will you do - Responsibilities: 


  • KPI's Responsibility

Assure on-time production of different brands in line with production plan in assigned M&P lines. Allocate the workforce and get prompt actions to meet the required quantity of products in compliance with JTI manufacturing procedures and quality standards. When needed, substitute Make&Pack Manager with given directions and instructions


  • Production Process Responsibility 

Responsible for contacting the Maintenance Team for any kind of mechanical modification needed to meet quality standards and to improve production performance, and spare part requirements. Support and participate in Continuous Improvement implementation activities with your team


  • Maintenance and Production Improvement Responsibility

Coordinate and assure implementation of all kinds of maintenance and breakdown activities on assigned M&P lines in compliance with the set production plan


  • 5S3R Responsibility

Assures assigned M&P lines' housekeeping to comply with 5S3R requirements


  • Talent Management Responsibility

Responsible for continuous technical knowledge improvement of your subordinates and communicating with your superior for training needs together with assessment of them


  • IWS

 - Lead Line Team via understanding and utilizing a ‘Servant Leadership’ mentality - for the machines you are responsible for during the deployment plan 
 - Develop the operating teams’ technical understanding and capability
 - Be the owner of the DDS (Daily Direction Setting) and DMSs (Daily Management Systems), attend DDSs and spread IWS DDS structure according to the deployment plan
 - Ensure production of a multitude of brands of the right quality with high efficiency and flexibility in compliance with JTI manufacturing procedures and quality standards for assigned M&P Lines
 - Coordinate and assure implementation of all kinds of maintenance and breakdown activities on assigned M&P lines in compliance with the set production plan
 - Ensure daily business of the production activities in assigned machines (QUIP, Rework, standard measurements, prototypes, material trials) are done and provide necessary reporting and/or documentation accordingly in line with the Zero Loss Mindset



Who are we looking for - Requirements: 


  • You have a University degree in Engineering
  • 7-10 years experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Excellent Arabic, Excellent English: written and spoken
  • PC (MS Office programs). Competency on related SAP transactions

  • Quality Management and Steering (Operational level), Engineering - EHS Understanding (Operational level)

  • Manufacturing Performance Mng. (Advanced level)

  • Team Management (Advanced level)

  • Production Planning (Operational level), Pest Management (Operational level)

  • Product Knowledge (Advanced level), Process Knowledge (Advanced level)

  • Machine Operating Knowledge (Basic level), Project Management (Basic level)

  • Finance - Legal - HR - MAS Understanding (Basic level)
