Trade Marketing Associate
What this position is about - Purpose:
As a Trade Market Associate, you will represent JTI and our brands within a defined territory ("District") where you will be responsible for developing customer relationships and local execution of our various programs to secure a strong position for our portfolio through distribution across our brand portfolio, with a focus on achieving visibility for our Global Flagship Brands & prioritized brands/SKUs. You will perform all visits according to our guidelines as part of their normal activities. The position is field based and you will be expected to handle your time to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
What will you do - Responsibilities:
- Complete all daily activities (minimum required coverage 95%) with a focus on "selling in" sales call objectives and positively influencing the retailer according to "sales cycle objectives"
- Actively secure "compliance" with our centrally agreed planograms by collaborating with the buyer/tobacco category owner to achieve the agreed planogram using sales information & arguments
- Highlight compliance issues through our CRM system & processes to secure compliance (Area Sales Manager & Key Account Manager)
- Focus on merchandising the tobacco category to ensure JTI brands are well visible & represented across the portfolio using the merchandising guidelines document (where possible according to space restrictions and planogram agreements)
- Manage JTI products at the retailers to ensure the stock is accurately rotated (old products sold before new ones) & fresh for consumers to enjoy
- Handle Snus category by limiting returns and ensuring they are accurately priced according to guidelines
- Use the JTI company device to accurately report the customer visits and ensure correct daily reporting
- Perform customer visits ensuring you meet the responsible person and communicate objectives to the Tobacco buyer to ensure the visit is effective
- Maintain customer database up-to-date
- Take ownership in achieving the critical metrics of the district, whilst also being responsible for handling car sales with 100% accuracy (including stock levels, performing inventories etc.)
- To proactively support the Area Sales Manager with competitor activities and program results
- Participate in the company meeting
- Openly share experiences and key takeaways
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
- No specific education is required, although a University degree or equivalent is desirable
- Initial experience in an FMCG company is preferred, or similar experience in the sales environment
- Fluent English & Swedish
- A valid Swedish driving licence is required at all times to be able to perform the job
- Basic digital literacy (especially MS Office Excel and PowerPoint)
