Location: Lilongwe

Reporting to: Leaf Processing Manager

Role: Permanent

Purpose

The position exists to ensure that tobacco is consistent and meets quality standards and specifications ensuring correct and efficient operation of all testing and measuring devices in JTILM.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that tobacco in the blending area is prepared prior to production.
• Utilizing LeafPoint to issue and reconcile bales.
• Ensuring NTRM-Free tobacco is fed into the processing line.
• Ensuring that engineering artisans have set up the correct tipping knives and arranged grade components according to the blade ratio

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in of Science, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role with knowledge of products and quality control.
• Excellent spoken English and working knowledge of any local language.
