Leaf, CFT, CRES Warehouse and CFT Feeding Operator
Job Purpose
The position is responsible to operate tobacco processing equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring product quality, compliance with operational procedures, workplace safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and continuous production flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tobacco processing machines in accordance with production plans, SOPs, and supervisor instructions.
- Monitor process and quality parameters through HMI systems and take corrective actions when required.
- Conduct inspection and cleaning of processing lines before start-up, during blend changes, and at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures, using appropriate PPE, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping by keeping the work area clean, organized, and compliant with workplace standards.
- Collaborate effectively with Process Leads and team members to ensure smooth operations across the production process.
- Support maintenance activities, including inspection, lubrication, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- College Diploma or TVET Level III in General Mechanics, Electricity, or a related technical field.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to follow operational and safety procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to identify issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
