Senior Project Engineer- Engineering Department
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Engineering Department at the Xanthi Factory. In this key role, you will lead and deliver complex engineering projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring full alignment with JTI standards, safety regulations, and strategic business objectives. Position:
As a Senior Project Engineer in the Engineering Department, you will:
- Lead end-to-end project management activities, from concept development to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to ensure timely and successful project execution.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present project updates, technical reports, and performance analyses to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the optimization of manufacturing processes and technical systems.
Within 6 months, you will:
- Gain an in‑depth understanding of factory operations, key equipment, and active engineering projects
- Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and align plans with cross‑functional stakeholders
- Lead technical assessments, ensure compliance with JTI standards, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams
- Deliver early project milestones, manage risks and budgets, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree (MSc or equivalent) in a relevant engineering field will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical background with proven experience managing complex technical projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with international engineering standards and best practices is considered an asset.
