About the Position

 

JTI Travel Retail MENEAT (Middle East, Near East, Africa, Turkey) Marketing is looking for a competent marketing manager who will join the team to manage brand marketing in duty free travel retail channels where Tobacco enjoys high marketing freedom. Reporting to the Travel Retail MENEAT Brand Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key marketing activities, brand and portfolio strategies, activation campaigns, merchandizing and monitoring of sales representatives in Turkey, North Cyprus and Africa markets. Key Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement annual strategic plans, together with sales team, to maximise sales and drive brand equity in line with JTI’s global strategies.
  • Drive and implement consumer/trade promotions in order to leverage brand awareness and trial. Work closely with HQ Equity team and line manager and define relevant activation plans. 
  • Liaise closely with the Merchandising team to implement merchandising guidelines in order to ensure consistency of image, ensuring execution with excellence in all store environments.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities within the brand / assigned markets and coordinate plans with sales and marketing team to deliver against KPI.
  • Build on engagement with domestic markets together with line manager so to be able to translate their strategies in the travel retail environment.
  • Manage development and motivation of retail sales representatives by providing relevant marketing materials, setting KPI and acting on feedback.
  • Take ownership of marketing budget for assigned markets with follow-up and monitoring spend analysis during last estimates and annual strategic plans.
  • Travel to assigned markets upon business needs.

 

 

Education & Experience

 

  • University degree (required), preferably in Marketing.    
  • 5+ years relevant brand marketing experience in FMCG (Tobacco / Travel Retail is a plus) , managing activations from start to finish.
  • Tobacco and/or Travel Retail experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment is preferred.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Other language is a plus.
  • Knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
