We’ve been working with tobacco since an Irishman called Tom Gallaher started wrapping cigarettes by hand to sell to customers in 1857. Gallaher grew to become the fifth-largest tobacco company in the world and in 2007, Japan Tobacco bought Gallaher for £9.4bn. Today, the UK is one of JTI’s top five markets and we sell some of the nation’s best-known brands.

What you'll do

As a field based Sales Representative you’ll be targeted on visits to independent retailers, sales of products and other merchandising activities in Renfrewshire/West or South Glasgow . You will often be working flexibly across a wider area or division to meet business objectives.

The skills you'll need

  • You’ll have a desire to succeed, be target driven and customer focused.
  • You’ll be highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • You’ll have excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • You’ll have the ability to build strong business relationships
  • You’ll have a well-developed range of interpersonal and communication skills
  • You’ll be able to work effectively under pressure, prioritising and handling multiple tasks
  • You’ll be self-motivated and able to use your initiative
  • You’ll have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • You’ll be proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • You’ll have held a full automatic or manual driving licence for over 2 years, with no more than 3 penalty points

How we'll reward you

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum plus a company car.
