What this role is about?

 

The SAP Delivery Center within the IT Global Development Center, is accountable for the overall delivery of all SAP-related projects. The SAP Program Delivery Manager is a key role inside the IT SAP Program management team responsible for SAP Release delivery, SAP Cloud and On-premise landscape management, SAP Project integration, and application lifecycle management. You will coordinate multiple projects and reconcile the interdependencies among them, provide strategic guidance to the company’s project managers, facilitate communication among a program’s cross-functional team, and ensure projects follow IT policies and quality gates.

 

The role will be responsible for the delivery of SAP systems and cutovers in the scope of the SAP releases, managing SAP program and landscape delivery, defining SAP cloud solutions release strategies and governance, maintaining JTI SAP Archiving policies, and/or SAP change and transport management across SAP landscapes.

 

The success of the role is measured by having clear communication and alignment with stakeholders, delivering tasks as per the schedule, and having no impact on the movement to production. In the wide JTI landscape, this role needs to have the ability to adapt the plan to the business demands to adopt new market requirements. To carry out the duties of this position, it is essential to have strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills focused on win-win solutions

 

 

What will you do?

 

 

SDC Program Management

 

 

  • Review and validate all individual Project Charters and their detailed plans
  • Work with Project Managers and IT Leads to identify and pull together the Release Scope (functional and technical) for the SDC program of projects
  • Maintain fluent communication and alignment with projects, review the status report, and establish quality gates for the project phases

 

SAP Release and Landscape Management

 

  • Daily program management throughout the program lifecycle, define the program governance, document quality gates, and follow up on progress
  • Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements and main program documents
  • Assessing, establishing, and operating SAP Release and Landscape Management procedures
  • Supporting Release Management process: maintain Release schedule, support in the communication and alignment with other teams, coordination, seek approvals, exceptions, and support, release management execution
  • Support and prepare detailed cutover plans for SAP technical initiatives, such as SAP upgrades & patching and implementation of SAP cloud-based applications

 

3y Plan

 

  • Liaise with other IT Teams to foresee the future SAP landscape and extended systems to fulfill business requirements:
  • Define the JTI SAP landscape strategy appropriate for the company's eco-system and observe risk mitigation, flexibility, business demand, and cost
  • Support the implementation of SAP with new technology changes and challenges (e.g. cloud solutions, in-memory technologies, new business suites)
  • Align the JTI SAP landscape roadmap to support the SDC 3Y plan

 

Release and cutover management - planning and execution

 

  • Support to SDC Program Delivery Director in planning the SAP releases providing the system delivery plan and giving the technical layer to the SDC cycle
  • Coordinate and integrate SDC releases among different SAP and non-SAP applications (LFPT, QIMS, TME,...) including SAP cloud-based solutions
  • Accountable owner of the Release and Cutover Management procedure for SDC and other major ERP transformation programs

 

SAP Data Archiving

 

  • Defining and maintaining SAP data archiving policies and procedures in collaboration with other IT teams for SAP on-premise JTI core applications (i.e. S4HANA, BW).
  • Coordinating and executing SAP yearly data archiving along with IT JTI internal and outsourced teams.
  • Working with vendors (i.e. OpenText) to implement new archiving and document management solutions.

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

 

  • University degree in IT or equivalent
  • 5+ years of overall experience in the IT discipline in multi-national environment (development and business applications)
  • 5+ years of project management and IT/Business process management experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in managing ERP systems (SAP on Prem and Cloud solutions) implementations, integration, SAP development coordination, cutover, and/or testing
  • Fluent in English, written & verbal
  • Excellent computer skills. SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office including MS Project and Visio.
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to deliver on time, ability to challenge project managers, and follow-up promptly on any issues and/or risks identified. Strong organizational and management skills to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Solid working knowledge of ERP(SAP) business processes, concepts, and functionality, including their dependencies and interdependencies

  • For what purposes is your personal data processed?

 

Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of enabling you to take part in the recruitment process for the position in JTI GBS to which your application relates. The data provided in order to take part in a specific recruitment project will be retained for the period until the end of the recruitment process, up to a maximum of 3 months from the selection of the employee in case no contract has been concluded. The recipient has implemented adequate and appropriate safeguards for your personal data. You have the right to receive a copy of the transferred personal data. Your personal data may also be transferred to other JTI Group companies that are based outside the EEA.
