Position purpose:

JTI is looking to recruit a Finance Reporting Manager. The position will be twofold:
 -  In that role, you will be involved in supporting the well-established Corporate Accounting team in various accounting activities as well as ad-hoc accounting projects, where primarily responsibility will consist in determining the accounting treatment for specific confidential or complex transactions and projects. You will be in charge to thoroughly analyze available information and interact with the relevant stakeholders to form your judgment and formulate the adequate IFRS treatment.
 - In addition, you will support the Corporate Consolidation & Reporting Director to ensure a clean audit opinion is obtained for the consolidated financial results of GT. These objectives will be achieved through effective and efficient processes executed on a timely basis, sustainably. To achieve success in the role, you will need to have strong technical accounting and managerial skills, be a clear communicator (oral and written), thrive in a demanding environment and have the ability to meet deadlines consistently with quality.

The position is a fantastic opportunity for an individual eager to strengthen current accounting and reporting processes while applying IFRS technical skills for ad-hoc projects and transactions.

  • Also be responsible for presenting those findings to the target audience (consolidation and reporting director, corporate controller, auditors etc.). Example of projects: annual audit fee negotiation, clarification and/or refinement of accounting policies, benchmarking with competitors or other multinational financial statement disclosures, JCFC and CbCR, minimum tax (Pillar2).
  • IFRS technical queries: Responsibility consists in determining the accounting treatment for specific confidential or complex transactions and projects.

  • You will be in charge to thoroughly analyze available information  and interact with the relevant stakeholders to form your judgment and formulate the adequate IFRS treatment.

  • Summarizing the accounting treatment and related financial impacts in a concise slide presentation (or position paper) for the Corporate Controller and eventually the Group CFO.

  • Engage with the external auditors to ensure alignment before the period close.

Who are we looking for – requirements:
