Consumer Activation Manager Eastern & Northern Europe Travel Retail
The role is responsible for marketing activities in the assigned region of 30 countries and 8 sales channels in East and North Europe Region (ENE). Key tasks include developing brand strategies and communication plans based on Global Travel Retail (GTR) direction, supporting product launches, brand updates, and limited edition packaging. The role also involves managing in-store merchandising in line with GTR guidelines. Collaboration with local markets is essential to understand their strategies and incorporate relevant insights into GTR plans.
Coordination with the ENE TR Marketing Lead, Regional Sales Director, and GTR teams is required to plan and align marketing activities, followed by execution through the Sales Operations team. Full responsibility for the regional marketing budget is also part of the role, including budget reporting in collaboration with the Finance team.
Position:
The Consumer Activation Manager Eastern & Northern Europe Travel Retail will be responsible for:
- Brand Management: Develop strategic, market-specific brand plans and communication strategies by using the following key enablers: impactful, consumer-centric merchandising solutions; insights from domestic market plans and market trends; and strong, consumer-focused brand activations for new launches, LEP, and brand rejuvenation—executed through traditional and digital marketing channels
- Portfolio Management: Lead the development of a relevant, optimized, consumer-centric portfolio for each market through several key actions: understanding and implementing relevant domestic strategies, continuously reviewing global trends and the Travel Retail category to develop actions for assigned markets, assisting in the development of tailored pricing strategies for markets, channels, and brands as needed, and creating exclusive packaging. Additionally, you will coordinate Post Implementation Assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the initiatives
- Retail Sales Consultant (RSC) Management: You will be responsible for ensuring clear, consistent brand communication through best-in-class RSC by performing several key tasks. This includes assisting in the recruitment of top-tier retail representatives, managing brand ambassador agencies, and implementing centrally developed RSC programs that drive motivation, sales, and consumer knowledge. Additionally, you will ensure that best-in-class training and knowledge materials are available for retail representative development. You will also work closely with Global Indirect Procurement to continuously review agencies, ensuring cost-efficiency and the highest level of service
- Marketing Budget Management: Develop and manage the assigned marketing budget process to ensure the timely, consistent, and integrated delivery of marketing plans. This includes managing plan requirements in alignment with global strategies, and handling detailed financial planning for brand launches, LEP, communication & advertising, brand activations, merchandising, and retail representatives. Additionally, you will deliver a clear and consistent plan during the annual planning process and provide updates as needed
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent (preferred)
- 5+ years in FMCG brand/trade marketing experience, incl. consumer/commercial promotions management, would be an advantage
- Fluent in English (is a must - work language)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint/Excel
- Basic financial skills
